series of 25 objects, didactical slides for Romanian history courses, cardboard, 2009. The glasses are not to be worn in the event of an eclipse, rather they are the product of a permanent eclipse, the history as an eclipse: both hiding and revealing. Photographs of real events become ideology in their use in history lessons. They may come to represent a “truth” that is no longer questioned like in the worn glasses, where these images are invisible because they are too close. The glasses address the danger of considering history as nature.
